The Hatsutemae Sanpo is an “otemae” course that teaches you how to make a delicious cup of tea that can be used in everyday life, together with beautiful gestures and the spirit of hospitality of the Obaku school of tea ceremony.

In the workshop, we will teach you the proper amount of tea leaves and even the temperature of the hot water so that you can serve yourself a delicious cup of tea at home.
Eventualy If you attend and master the three different courses – spring and autumn gyokuro (April, May, September and October), Reisen /summer cold  (June-July) and Susuri cha / winter sip tea (November-March) – you can obtain a officeial certificate as a ‘chashi’ (tea master) in the Ouhbaku Baisa tea ceremony school if you wish. (An additional fee is required to obtain the licence.)
